for women

The Bible studies offered for women at Woodinville Alliance are open to all, whether or not you attend the church. We welcome women who don't have a church home, who live a great distance away from their home church, who are interested in the topic of study, and everyone in between. We place a high value on choosing studies that communicate who God is, who we are in light of who God is, and how we desire to grow closer to Jesus in the process of meeting together in study, discussion and prayer. Please consider joining us. You are welcome!

Tuesday mornings  |  10:30am-12:30pm |  Room 128
Wednesday evenings  |  7:00-8:30pm  |  Chapel
Thursday mornings  |  9:30-11:30am  |  Clubhouse

Through the study of God’s Word, women build close relationships with one another over the year through sharing, on a weekly basis, God’s transforming power in their lives. They learn together, share their wisdom AND their struggles, and pray together. God builds deep bonds of unity and trust in the process. We have found that women thrive in a multi-generational setting so all of our groups are comprised of a wide age range of women.

Tuesday Morning Community Group:

Looking for a group of women for connection, support and spiritual growth? You are invited to come join us Tuesday mornings as we dive into Scripture, discuss Pastor Phil’s teaching and talk about ways to apply God’s truths to our lives.

Wednesday Evening Bible Study:

This fall Kelly Minter will lead us through her DVD study, "What Love Is". The Letters of 1, 2 & 3 John were written to encourage followers of Jesus to remain faithful to the truth. Believers are challenged to look at contrasting themes such as walking in the light instead of darkness, truth versus lies and deception, loving God more than loving the world, and the meaning of true fellowship and community rather than shallowness.

Thursday Morning Bible Study:

There are two options to choose from on Thursday mornings this year. Both include childcare should you need it.

  • Kelly Minter's study "What Love Is," the letters of 1, 2, 3 John (see description under Wednesday Evening portion)
  • In this verse-by-verse study of the first four chapters of the Gospel of John, paired with 1, 2, and 3 John, members will use a homiletics approach to outlining each chapter, summarizing the main themes, and developing personal applications to their life. This is a new option for the fall and space is limited.

You are invited to join us!

Discover the Redemptive Side to Job's Story of Suffering

Joy is the constant companion of the woman who trusts in the Lord. And while you can find it in friends, family, and circumstances, unfailing, persistent joy will only ever overflow from your relationship with Jesus.

Just ask Job, the man from Uz who clung to God’s goodness while all his worldly joys were stripped away. But how is it possible to hold onto such joy in times of sorrow? In this 7-session study by Lisa Harper, discover the redemptive side to Job’s story of suffering. Learn to use pain to strengthen your faith, point others to the gospel, and remember God’s providence will never take you to a place where His grace will not sustain you.
