Phil Oswald is a little newer to the Northwest, but he loves all the great distractions it provides.  Although a native of the Midwest, he has spent most of his vocational life in southern Oregon, Colorado and northern California.  Prior to coming to Seattle, Phil planted and led an innovative church in the Sacramento area for almost 20 years.  His desire now isn’t to replicate, but to guide WAC into its unique mission of truly making disciples who make disciples through every single thing they set out to do.  With Phil it’s not a slogan.  He wakes up in the middle of the night thinking about this stuff.
To refresh his mind and body, he runs, he reads, and he dreams about the next chance he’s going to get for some adventure travel.  On his better days you can find him sipping coffee with people from other worldviews and faiths.  During his study days, he can’t seem to help himself, but he keeps returning to the history, geography, and politics of the first century world of Jesus.  And on his lesser days, well, let’s just say that about anything could capture his attention.  Meanwhile, keeping him grounded is his sweet wife, Lee Ann.  Phil is also the dad of two grown sons, P.J., and Ted, who call Sacramento and Philly home, respectively.  And does he ever miss them!
